Good food takes time and patience. My family and I are regulars at dim sum and Chinese restaurants in Toronto. We were taken by surprise by how authentic and delicious the dim sum found here. After talking to the chef/owner here, we learned that everything was made from scratch on site. Each dish is made to order to ensure freshness. That's why you should buffer for extra time when dining here.
In the short span of our 3-day stay in Calgary, we've been back twice. Highly recommend friends and family to visit here. -

Service wasn't good and food was ok.
Garlicky Chili oil was really good 5/5
Scallop dumpling 4/5 it was good but it had only a tiny piece of scallop and the rest was shrimp.
Pork and shrimp dumpling 3/5
Shanghai dumpling 3/5
Crepe shrimp wrap 5/5 taste so fresh and delicious!
Wonton in spicy chili 3/5
Shrimp dumpling 3/5 it was brought out still frozen in the middle but after they took it back and cooked it a bit more it was better tasting. -

Please, please CHECK your total as well as your receipts and bank account if you choose to order here. They will add/change tip amount without your knowledge.
I went in for take out being that I was in the area. The fact that there was absolutely no one during "dinner rush," should have been a red flag, but I was tired and hungry.
My order took about 15 minutes, but only after I got my food did the older Chinese waitress decide to ring me up. I went ahead and signed and grabbed my copy. As I was walking out, I took a look at my receipt and noticed that there was an extra $3.50 in the tip section. I always tip in cash, so when I saw this I immediately went back to ask why there was an extra $3.50 in the tip section. She look flustered and gave me some BS excuse that for take out the machine automatically charges 10%. That is a straight lie because every time I've dine in at any restaurant in Canada, I've manually put in a percent or total amount once the server places my card in the machine. I asked why there was no sign or why she didn't verbally confirm this with me and she had nothing to say. Now that I think about it, this waitress was pushing quite a few buttons before handing me my receipt.
After reading some of the comments from other yelpers saying that they charge for tap water and take out boxes for dine in customers, I am amazed that this place is still open and running after all the shady things they do to squeeze an extra dollar out of customers.
And in case you are wondering, the food was terrible. PLEASE save yourself the headache and disappointment and dine else where!! There are so many other Chinese restaurants who are more ethical and have much more edible food!! If you do decide to eat here, check your receipt and bank statement (in case they make adjustments later!). -

If you're going to charge me $6.95 for basic dim sum like ha gao (steamed shrimp dumplings) and siu mai (steamed pork meatballs), don't nickel and dime me by charging $1 for tea per person. To add insult to injury, they offered me a takeout box to pack my leftovers yet charged me for the box. Yeesh.
Food is still decent but I am not pleased at the pesky little charges. -

Ate late lunch here in Calgary Chinatown. Dim sum, congee, and noodles. Food was hot and entrees good. Looks like this place caters to locals.
